Introduction to The Golden Triangle

This tour of India takes you to three of its most bustling cities, Delhi, Agra & Jaipur.



Day 01: Arrival Jaipur by EY 208 at 0355 hrs. (early morning)

On arrival meet & assist at airport by Travel with us representative & transfer to hotel for immediate check in.

Day 02: Jaipur

After breakfast at hotel and depart for an excursion tour to Amber Fort. It was the ancient capital of the State until 1728. Ascend the hill on Elephant back on which the fort is situated. Visit the Sheesh Mahal (Hall of mirrors), Jai Mahal and other palaces within the fort.

In afternoon visit City Palace and Museum, part of it is the residence of the Maharaja of Jaipur and part of it is converted into a museum. The museum has an excellent collection of miniature paintings, manuscripts etc. Its Textile & Costume and armoury section are also worth a look. Nearby is the Observatory, Jantar Mantar, built by Raja Jai Singh in mid18th century with various instruments for specific functions and accurate readings Drive through the “Pink City” and past the Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds, a five storey building, famous for its elaborate facade with about 1000 windows to enable the ladies of the court to view the passing processions.

Day 03: Jaipur/Agra (260 km / 06 Hours Drive)

After breakfast, check out and depart for Agra.

After breakfast, check out and depart for Agra. Enroute visit Fatehpursikri – About 40 km from Agra, it was built by Emperor Akbar and abandoned within 12 years due to scarcity of water. See the graceful buildings within the city including Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chisti, Panch Mahal and other Palaces. On arrival check-in at the hotel.

Day 04: Agra

After breakfast Visit the most beautiful wonder of the modern world the Taj Mahal (closed on Friday), built by Mughul Emperor Shahjahan in 1630 for his favourite Queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains is a monument to love. Late in afternoon visit Agra Fort. The monument, a UNESCO World Heritage site located 2.5 km northwest of its more famous sister monument, the Taj Mahal.

Day 05: Agra/Delhi (200 km /04 hours Drive)

After breakfast, check out and depart for Delhi. On arrival check in at hotel.

Day 06: Delhi

This morning after breakfast at the hotel and later your sightseeing by exploring Old Delhi Area. A walking tour will take you to the heart of old Delhi, allowing you to savour the sights, smells and sounds of this ancient city, who past is reflected in its present. Lead by an experienced ‘Dilliwallah’, your walk leader guides you through winding lanes recounting tales, anecdotes and legends of a Delhi that goes back thousands of years. The walk takes you to the age old Silver market, through quaint streets selling incredible ware, to the tranquility of a Jain temple and to the flower market which is a riot of colour. The tour also takes you drive past the Red Fort (the precursor to the Agra Fort) and theJama Masjid, (The largest mosque in Asia).

After lunch Sightseeing of New Delhi – Drive past the India Gate (World War I memorial), The President’s Residence, Parliament House and the Secretariat buildings – an interesting blend of the Victorian and 20th-century architecture. At the end of the tour visit the 12th century Qutab Minar, gracefully hand-carved for its entire height of 234ft

Day 07: Depart Delhi

Early morning Check out departure for airport to connect flight for onward journey.
