Spend 7 nights exploring the magnificent Norwegian Fjords on this tour, which sees you leave Oslo, and travel through some of the most spectacular parts of the Norwegian countryside, to Geiranger, Alesund, Bergen & more.

Itinerary

Day 1: Oslo

Arrive in Oslo and transfer to the hotel. Meet your guide in the hotel. Evening at leisure.

Day 2: Oslo – Lillehammer – Gaalaa

After breakfast in the hotel you have a morning city tour of Oslo, including the Viking Ship Museum.

Oslo is the seat of the Norwegian Government and Parliament, and the Royal Palace is situated at the end of Karl Johan Street- Oslo’s main thoroughfare.

A relaxed city with an abundance of tourist sights, Oslo boasts world-class cultural amenities and great shopping all set against an eclectic architectural backdrop.

A must-see, is the spectacular Vigeland Park, an outdoor museum that’s home to over 150 stunning sculptures by Norway’s finest sculptor, Gustav Vigeland. History lovers will appreciate the Viking Ship Museum featuring longboats from 900 AD and which also covers Oslo’s main sights.

In the afternoon you leave Oslo behind and travel to Gaalaa, via Lillehammer. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Gaalaa – Trollstigen – Alesund

Leave the hotel in Gaalaa and drive to Alesund. On arrival you will drive to Aksla Viewpoint, on a hill overlooking the town and onwards to the fjords and North Sea, before continuing to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Alesund – Geiranger – Briksdal – Skei

Start the day by taking the ferry from Linge to Eidsdal, and continue to Geiranger, the town at the heart of the magnificent Geirangerfjord. Travel by ferry from Geiranger to Hellesylt, through the heart of the fjord, and by coach from Hellesylt to Briksdal, where there is a short walk to Briksdal Glacier. Continue from Briksdal to Skei where there is dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Skei – Fjaerland – Bergen

Drive from Skei to Kaupanger, through the Fjaerland Tunnel. When you arrive in Kaupanger you will take the ferry to Gudvangen, before driving to Bergen.

Dinner is at leisure in Bergen before an overnight stay.

Day 6: Bergen – Geilo

Start the morning with a city tour of Bergen, including Troldhaugen.

Bergen – This jewel of a place is set among seven sweeping hills and, naturally, some stunning fjords. Bergen is a lively university town, steeped in culture. The city is pleasantly compact, great for easy, accessible sightseeing, with an attractive warren of cobbled streets punctuated with leafy, green and areas perfect for rest and relaxation.

Leave Bergen and take the ferry from Bruravik to Brimnes, before driving to Geilo. Enjoy dinner an dan overnight stay in Geilo.

Day 7: Geilo – Oslo

Breakfast is at the hotel before your departure to Oslo. Drive from Geilo to Oslo. Overnight in Oslo.

Day 8: Oslo

Breakfast at the hotel before your transfer to the airport and flight home to Dublin.
