Introduction to Egypt
The land of Pharaohs and pyramids beckons on this Citiescapes Tour. With tours of the Pyramids of Giza, Luxor & Cairo, and a relaxing cruise along the majestic river Nile this is an ideal chance to discover the history that makes Egypt so captivating.
Itinerary
Day 01: Cairo
Fly Dublin to Cairo via London. Meet your guide at Cairo International Airport, transfer to the Pyramids Park Resort Hotel or similar, check-in.
Day 02: Cairo
Breakfast at Hotel. Visit the great Pyramids of Giza and legendary Sphinx. Free afternoon return to Hotel and overnight.
Day 03: Cairo
Breakfast at Hotel. Visit The Egyptian Museum, home to the most extensive collection of ancient Egyptian antiquities in the world. It has 120,000 items, with a representative amount on display, the remainder in storerooms and Khan El Khalili Bazar. Overnight at hotel.
Day 04: Cairo – Aswan
Breakfast at Hotel. Transfer to Cairo airport and flight to Aswan. Arrival Aswan and transfer to M/S Sherry boat or similar and Embarkation.
After Lunch Aswan visits: High Dam, the unfinished Obelisk and Philae temple. Sailing by Felucca. Dinner and overnight at Aswan.
Day 05: Komo Ombo – Esna
Sailing to Kom Ombo. Visit the temple shared by two Gods Sobek and Haroeris. Sailing to Edfu. Visit Horus Temple of Edfu. Sailing to Esna. Overnight at Esna. Breakfast, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner aboard.
Day 06: Luxor
Sailing to Luxor. Luxor has frequently been characterised as the “world’s greatest open air museum”, the ruins of the temple complexes at Karnak and Luxor standing within the modern city. Overnight at Luxor. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner aboard.
Day 07: Luxor/Hurghada
Disembarkation after Breakfast. Visit the Valley of the Kings before your road transfer from Luxor to Hurghada. Arrival in Hurghada and check in at the Hilton Hurghada Resort. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 08: Hurghada
Free at Hotel. Breakfast at Hotel
Day 09: Hurghada/Cairo
Day at leisure before your flight to Cairo. Overnight at Cairo Airport Hotel
Day 10: Cairo/Dublin
Breakfast at Hotel. Transfer to the airport for your flight home to Dublin, via London.
