Introduction to The Berlin Insider Tour

What is an insider tour?

It’s more than just a name – our information is dynamic engaging and far beyond the pedestrian. You’ll get insight into what it’s like living in the New Berlin where East and West know no boundaries.
With the Insider Walking Tour we begin our adventure in the heart of Cold War west Berlin’s showcase of capitalism with the looming bombed out spire of the Memorial Church before us. Stroll into the history of the Teutonic Knights and Prussian Kings, through the Royal Hunting Grounds and stand before the Victory Column – marking the birth of the German nation and Europe as we know it today – unbridled Prussian military arrogance at its best!
Then follow the route of the Soviet attack up to the final battle ground of the Reichstag Parliament – crowned with Norman Foster’s glass dome, and by the futuristically charged Government Quarter and Federal Chancellory … then comes the East!
Pass over the line of the Death Strip, under the Brandenburg Gate, by the Holocaust Memorial, Hitler’s Bunker, Checkpoint Charlie, and finish with an account of the momentous events which led to the fall of the Wall while standing amongst the heart of the East German Government Quarter and the New Berlin.

Travel in December for Christmas Markets
31st January – See Andre Rieu in concert!

Just wanted to let you know that we had a really enjoyable experience in Berlin -21-24th Nov.
Hotel was excellent, breakfasts were memorable experiences and the guides superb.
Want to particularly mention Nick, the guide on our half day tour.
What a character- his knowledge of Berlin and its history was unparalleled but it was his enthusiasm, intelligence wit and turn of phrase that had all the group rivetted to his every word. It was a memorable day, he spoke almost non stop for more than 4 hours and covered every possible angle on the city’s history while entertaining us with all sorts of asides and anecdotes. What a guy, please pass on our regards to him when u are next in contact.

The 4 of us really enjoyed the trip.

Hotel accommodation, transfers, food and especially the walking tour guide, Jamie, were excellent.

Just a quick note to say the Insiders Tour to Berlin last week was wonderful. The guide Jamie was so pleasant and informative. We really enjoyed the trip.

Hopefully we will get away again in the not too distant future.

– Helen, Berlin Insiders Tour

The Berlin city break has left a lasting impression of culture and satisfaction that is rare in my foreign experience. The hotel was the most centrally convenient of all my trips abroad. The guides were superb. The guide who accompanied our transfer to the Park Inn hotel was superb, as were the two young Cork men who walked us about the following day. I got lucky too. Finding a Christmas concert in the Dom the first night……hearing the pianist in the hotel the three nights. No travel company could guarantee these added delights.

My thanks for everything.
